Cinelli – Italian Bicycles, Components and Iconic Fashion
Cinelli – The Road Bike as a Way of Life
Cinelli is without doubt a brand in the cycling universe, which is associated like no other with exquisite materials, outstanding workmanship and design "Made in Italy". The roots of the exquisite racing bike frame and component manufacturer go back to the end of the 1940s: in 1948, the Milan-San Remo winner of 1943, Cino Cinelli, founded the bike manufacturer. Cinellis' creativity and experience as a racing cyclist quickly led to his reputation as an outstanding frame designer. Consequently, the legendary Supercorsa frame was created as a commissioned work for the "Campionissimo" Fausto Coppi. The Columbus tube set and the perfect harmony between stiffness, elasticity, aerodynamics and aesthetics still characterize the Supercorsa and its counterpart in the track bike sector, the Supercorsa Pista. The innovative spirit of the Cinelli brand continues to define the product portfolio today. In 2017, the Milan-based company creates the Superstar and the Superstar Disc to transform the characteristics of the classic Italian stage bike into an innovative contemporary version. With the monocoque carbon fiber frame and the Columbus Futura Disc fork, Cinelli combines new standards in frame construction with state-of-the-art production methods. The outcome is a race all-rounder that has the potential to become superstar: Low weight combined with aggressive handling and high seating comfort.
But not only bikes, thanks to its components the brand with the winged "C" has gained huge popularity in cycling circles? With the first aluminium handlebars, the first saddle shell made of plastic and the handlebar tape made of cork, the Milan-based company set up innovations which today have become indispensable in the world of cycling.
Cinelli Bikes and Frames – Tradition meets Innovation
The innovative spirit of the Cinelli brand has also led to numerous changes in the recent past. In the early 2000s, Cinelli brought cycling and lifestyle together. The Vigorelli, originally conceived as a track bike, established itself with great success as a fixie in the world's metropolises. The Fixitrend has arrived in Europe. Big city riders and courier riders still appreciate the aggressive racing bike thanks to its high bottom bracket, which permits rapid cornering and it's irresistible design. The range of hip urban bikes is extended by the Cinelli Tutto. It was originally designed in collaboration with MASH, a collective of fixie-maniacs from California. "Tutto", which means "everything" in English, keeps his promises: clearance for tyres up to 35 mm, eyelets on the TIG-welded fork, removable brake bolts for rim brakes and the possibility of installing a belt drive make the Tutto an allrounder and a hybrid monster for urban individualists. Cinelli also uses its experience in track cycling to create the Tipo Pista. Equipped with a Columbus aluminium tube set and a carbon fork, the urban track bike gives you a balanced geometry and lightweight construction with a great price-performance ratio. The result is a guaranteed lively and agile riding experience. Cinelli makes the final statement in terms of versatility with its reliable Gravel/ Cyclocross bike Zodiac: thanks to disc brakes and eyelets for mudguards and panniers, it is suitable both for daily commuting and sportive off-road tours.

Cycling means more than movement for Cinelli. It is a lifestyle. Whether on a racing bike, fixie or singlespeed, the individually designed caps, socks and shirts enjoy absolute cult status among fashion-conscious cyclists. Cinelli convinces with simple as well as extravagant designs by well known artists. The Italian company also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of functionality and quality: Thanks to the one size, the caps fit perfectly to the head, absorb sweat and provide reliable protection from sunlight.
