Five Ten Shoes - Stylish MTB, Climbing and Approach Shoes with Extra Grip
Climbing Grade 5.10
Since 1985 Five Ten has had a lasting influence on the history of climbing. The story of Five Ten began in Yosemite Valley. In the mid-1980s, the climbing grade 5.10 stood for absolute extreme routes with maximum difficulty. Charles Cole, founder of Five Ten and the first ascender of adventurous plate and friction climbs, began developing outdoor footwear after slipping and almost falling on a climbing route. His goal was to develop shoes, with a specially formulated rubber compound, that offers extra grip. The result was the legendary Stealth Rubber. Until today, it is still at the forefront of the most challenging routes with further developed compounds.
Five Ten Freerider Primeblue: Functional Shoes from Recycled Parley Ocean Plastic
Five Ten is fighting against plastic waste. The goal is to completely replace new polyester with recycled polyester by 2024. A major step towards this goal is the new adidas Five Ten Primeblue collection, which uncompromisingly combines functionality and sustainability. Therefore, the all-time favourites Five Ten Freerider and Five Ten Freerider Pro are now partly made from Parley Ocean Plastic, a high-performance polyester yarn that contains recycled plastic waste from various coastal regions. Not surprising, then, that the Freerider Primeblue won the "Design & Innovation Award 2021".
Adidas Five Ten MTB Shoes – The Right Choice for the Most Demanding Trails
What started with climbing shoes has also become an integral part of mountain biking for years. On freerides, trails and downhills, wherever extreme conditions are to be expected, you will find Five Ten shoes like the Impact, the Freerider or the Kestrel. These bike shoes for woman, men and kids combine lightweight and breathable mesh and textile uppers with different rubber sole compounds. The adidas Five Ten Trail Cross is Five Ten's latest answer to the need for a Hike&Bike all-rounder. It combines the unbeatable grip of a flat pedal shoe with the high comfort of a trekking shoe.
Thanks to these characteristics, it is hardly surprising that Five Ten shoes are regularly on the podium at MTB Downhill World Cups. They offer an absolutely reliable grip on platform pedals as well as on SPD click pedals, which is essential for control. Smart lacing and velcro systems, a regular fit that leaves room for insoles and well thought-out reinforcements in contact-prone areas are further features of the Five Ten mountain bike shoes.
Five Ten Trailcross GTX - The Ultimate Wet Weather Riding Shoe
The Five Ten Trailcross GTX is the first ever flat pedal shoe that features GORE-TEX durably waterproof, breathable technology. Now you can ride in rain, mud, sleet and snow all the while keeping your feet dry. If you ride in all conditions, the new Trailcross GTX is your choice. The ankle-height shoe has a waterproof, breathable upper that renders cold, damp feet to a thing of the past. A flexible, neoprene, hook-and-loop closure ensures that no debris, water or snow sneaks down your ankles, and the GORE-TEX membrane keeps moisture out while preventing sweat build-up on the inside. Enjoy the Elements with the adidas Five Ten Trailcross GTX.
Stylish Approach Shoes & Minimalist Sneakers
The comfortable and functional bike shoes from the experts of Five Ten are particularly convincing due to their versatility. This means that the combination of grip, solid craftsmanship and chic design is also ideal for approaching and everyday use. That is why Five Ten has a whole range of stylish approach shoes and sneakers, such as the Five Ten Sleuth and the Guide in its range.
Five Ten Stealth – Application-Specific Rubber Compounds
Absolutely reliable material is indispensable for the sporty field of application of the Five Ten shoes and often determines success or failure. When it comes to climbing, bouldering, downhill and mountain bike riding, the foot must remain in place! The key factor for an excellent rubber compound is the ratio between durability and friction. Five Ten achieves this by fine-tuning the different versions of the Stealth Rubber and working closely with top athletes such as the freerider and trial biker Danny MacAskill or Shauna Coxsey the multiple female Boulder World Cup winner.
