Because the available bike accessories did not cover all the requirements of the slopestyle and dirt area, the former Polish rock star and downhill rider Szymon Kobylinski simply decided to launch his own brand in 2003. Under the label Northshore Extreme, he and his wife Anna Kobylinski sold handlebars, stems and pedals that quickly achieved cult status especially in the freeride scene. Consequently, the first freeride MTB pros signed team contracts with Kobylinski. The brand was renamed NS Bikes in 2004, and with the success of pro rider Martin Söderström on the now legendary Streetlegal frame, the small Polish bike manufacturer caused a lasting impact in the scene. NS Bikes finally became known worldwide through dirt jump superstar Sam Pilgrim. At the same time, NS Bikes began to gradually expand its own product range of parts, frames and bikes. Since 2016, the crew around Szymon Kobylinski has been presenting downhill, enduro, trail and gravel bikes in addition to dirt jump bikes. But no matter if 29" Full Suspension, 26" Hardtail or 24" Junior Bike, NS Bikes has always stayed true to its roots - to build chic and nimble bikes with decent suspension travel that feel at home on challenging trails.

The dirt bikes of the Metropolis and the Movement series are the result of continuous cooperation with NS Bikes pro riders and therefore perfectly suited for fat gaps and obstacles. The top models feature the high-performance Manitou Circus Expert suspension fork and powerful SRAM level brakes. While the Metropolis has a timeless classic look thanks to its solid, svelte steel tubes, NS Bikes uses a lighter and stiffer aluminium frame for the Movement.
