Easy to machine by deformation, high tensile strength, corrosion-resistant and extremely durable: Rennstahl uses high-alloy steel for its bikes, which has convincing material properties. Assembly and welding work are done in the manufactory itself, which makes every Rennstahl gravel bike, MTB or e-bike a truly unique piece. 

Two tube sets are used: the Rennstahl 853 and the 931 series. The latter makes wall thicknesses of narrow 0.38 mm possible, which are nevertheless durable, strong and resistant. The 853 series is considered the flagship for steel bike frames. The seamless drawn steel is even harder and thus even stronger than comparable materials. Based on the robust steel frames Rennstahl builds bikes that always bring you safely to your destination, even under extreme loads.

For the minds behind the brand, bikes are an unrestricted passion that significantly defines life. One irrevocable factor in all considerations is that the frame for every Rennstahl bike is made of steel - and standardized off-the-shelf tube sets are not good enough for that: The tubes are designed in-house by Rennstahl and manufactured using molds developed in-house. In addition, they must withstand the manufacturer's own stringent quality testing before they are installed.

After six years of building titanium frames and wheels under the name Falkenjagd, the Rennstahl brand was founded in 2013 as a subsidiary of A. & A. Kirschner Fahrradmanufaktur GbR. The new label introduced a steel-framed bicycle inspired by classic designs. In terms of equipment and material, however, it was state of the art and thus caused enthusiasm in industry circles. One thing was therefore immediately clear: the upcoming steel-frame bikes from the manufacture were to make history.
