Ritchey: Pioneering Spirit and Product Development for over 45 Years
Improving existing products or creating something new has always been the hallmark of the component manufacturer Ritchey. In the 1970s together with like-minded friends, Tom Ritchey tinkered with old bikes and parts from the motocross sector in order to be able to master the gravel descents in the hills of Marin Country. Dissatisfaction with the heavy and unstable bikes of the time and a lot of inventiveness led to the emergence of the „Ritchey-Mountainbike“. In 1983 Tom Ritchey founded his company Ritchey Design and began designing and developing his own frames and components. The click pedal for mountain bikes is just one of many innovations that can be traced back to Ritchey. To this day Tom Ritchey continues to develop ideas for new products, welds concept models himself and supports Ritchey's R&D work.

At Ritchey, every cyclist will find the right product to suit his or her needs and budget: the Ritchey WCS line (World Championship Series), together with the Supersonic line, is the high-end standard for ultra-light, durable and ergonomically designed accessories. The rainbow stripe of the WCS logo represents the numerous world champions who have won competitions on Ritchey bikes. For bikers who do not want to compromise on weight and durability, Ritchey WCS handlebars, stems and seat posts are available in the carbon version. Alternatively, the cheaper aluminum versions can be used. The components of the Ritchey Comp and Classic series have been developed to provide robust and lightweight components at an attractive price level. Therefore everyone can personally experience the performance and timeless design.
