He then worked together with his two friends, Neil Anderson and Jim Lea, engineers from the Boeing Aerospace Corporation. After losing their jobs in the mass layoffs at the aircraft manufacturer during the late 1960s, they put all their focus on developing lightweight, practical and comfortable sleeping pads – and the project was a complete success.
