Veloheld - Pure Bikes & Frames Made of Fine Steel
In the Name of All Cycling Heroes
Driven by the great role models of their youth like Olaf Ludwig and Michael Hübner and with a lot of passion for beautiful bicycles, the company veloheld was founded in Dresden in 2007. The name of the company is not only meant as a homage to the heroes of that time, but stands for all the cyclists who explore new streets in daily city traffic, after work or on weekends. For all the bike heroes who ride to work with style and fun, fight for fame and honour in their free time or simply want to compete with themselves veloheld supplies the right frames and bicycles.
Powder Coatings of the Finest Quality
The frames, forks and mudguards of veloheld are treated with a high-quality powder coating so that the graceful steel bikes not only look aesthetic, but also remain a feast for the eyes for a long time and are optimally protected against weather influences and corrosion. This solvent-free and emission-free coating process protects both the environment and the surface from shocks and scratches.
Before the actual paint coat, the frame or fork is subjected to a cathodic dip coating (ED-Black coating). The steel pipes are dipped under tension (3,000 amps) into a bath of black dip paint and then briefly fired at approx. 230 degrees. As this primer penetrates extremely well into the small cavities of the welded frames and forks, it is particularly effective in protecting against potential corrosion damage.
For the colour coating, an ultra-thin layer of paint powder is applied electrostatically to frames, forks or mudguards and cross-linked and baked in special ovens for 20 minutes at temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius. After the parts have cooled down and the veloheld decors have been added by hand, a final layer of clear lacquer is applied to protect the decor elements and the paint.
Always the Right Frame
Long days in the saddle, over rough roads and paths, for bike packing or endurance tours: That's allroad. And that is the veloheld icon disc. The double reinforced steel tubes made of heat-treated 25CrMo4 combined with the comfortable geometry (longer head tube + shorter top tube) and the veloheld UD carbon fork ensure long-lasting and comfortable riding pleasure. For even more protection and safety in the urban jungle or terrain, a flatmount disc brake mount is provided in the rear frame triangle. Brake cable guides integrated in the down tube and an anti-rust ED-black coating make the Di2-ready frame set a real eye-catcher for a long time.
The veloheld iconX frame set is a universal genius. It cuts a good figure as a gravel bike as well as a cyclocross or city bike. Whether with a carbon fork with an extra stiff tapered head tube or the Chromoly steel fork with additional fastening eyes (beside the already existing discreet eyes at the frame) for carrier, bottle holder or mudguard: From the sporty battle in the mud to the extensive Bikepacking tour everything is possible.
Trail racers and adventurers will find the veloheld iron MTB frame a perfect companion for off-road tours. Tyres up to 3.0" wide roll comfortably over hill and dale, while the curved down tube protects the frame from fork head impact.
With the veloheld lane and veloheld lady lane frame sets you are traveling through the city in an elegant, modern and low-maintenance way. The frame-fork mudguard sets are prepared for the Gates Centertrack belt drive and ready for hub gears with chain or belt through the EBB eccentric bottom bracket housing. In addition, compatible with Rohloff drives and disc brakes, the equipment offers maximum versatility with maximum rigidity. A lower top tube makes climbing on easier for the ladies and ensures a relaxed, sporty ride.
