The new super stable and wide asymmetric rim Thunder is made for Gravity applications. With a rim width of 32mm, the rim is perfectly suitable for wide tires with the dimensions 2.35 to 2.6 inches. The asymmetric rim design reduces the spoke length difference on the right and left side of the wheel and allows an even spoke tension on both sides. The rim is tubeless ready and made of aluminium 6013-T5, which is characterized by its enormous stiffness.
When building the wheels the flat wall of the rim should be on the drive side for the rear wheel and on the brake side for the front wheel to equal the spoke tension properly. Please check the attached assembly manual.
