The DT Swiss M 542 is a extra wide Aluminium All Mountain 650B+ rim. At 35 mm internal rim width the M 542 works perfect with wide tires and allowing to attack the hardest terrains. Super-wide tires provide real traction, control and safety even on very difficult trails. The benchmark rim material is combined with an economic sleeve-junction to offer the best ratio between low weight, big width and a affordable price.

Rim profile design

In order to guarantee a perfect fit and to make the installation of the tire as easy as possible, the profiles of DT Swiss rims are designed with the tubeless use in mind. It is always possible though to run a conventional tire / tube combination.

Tubeless ready DT Swiss rims have further advantages over conventional rims. The design of their cross section allows for the tire to easily pop in place when inflated, and more often than not a standard floor pump is all that‘s needed.
