The SALATHE LITE is again almost 20% lighter than its big brother!

This weight reduction was achieved by using Curv® material instead of the classic ABS shell. Curv® is the latest generation of an extremely high-performance thermoplastic material. It has similar properties to fiber-reinforced composites such as carbon: good stiffness, high tensile strength, and exceptionally high impact resistance - all at a very low weight.

• Ultra-light EPP (expanded polypropylene) core for excellent shock absorption and high dimensional stability
• Minimalist adjustment system with adjustable straps for a secure fit, minimal pack size and excellent ventilation
• Headlamp attachment with 2 clips in the front and an elastic strap in the back
• Large ventilation openings for continuous air exchange and heat dissipation
• Helmet shape is specially designed for use with ski goggles
• Ergonomic interior shape with removable, washable pads
• Tested impact protection on the sides as well as in the front and back of the head according to EN 12492
• Robust hard shell made of innovative, extremely lightweight Curv® material in the upper and front areas for additional protection, e.g. in the event of falling rocks

Curv® technology
Curv® is an outstanding material that combines the versatility of a 100% thermoplastic with the high performance of a fiber-reinforced composite. Parts manufactured with Curv® exhibit high stiffness, high tensile strength and excellent impact resistance. At the same time, they are extremely lightweight and can be thermoplastically molded. We are taking advantage of these outstanding properties in our new helmet shell, where minimum weight and maximum protection are key.
