G-1000 consists of a mixture of polyester and cotton, which is waxed with a thin layer of Greenland Wax. The wax additional protects the material from dirt, wind and moisture. It can applied over and over again and easily washed out with just a few machine washes.

Water Resistant: Greenland Wax makes G-1000 resistant to rain and moisture. This means that you can wear your G-1000 garments during brief showers without getting wet.
Wind Proof: The tightly-spun weave in G-1000 makes it virtually windproof. Once impregnated, it offers complete protection from biting winds.
Breathability: One of G-1000's most impressive properties is its excellent breathability - it efficiently releases moisture from the body.
Mosquito Proof: A well-waxed garment keeps mosquitoes and other flying insects away from your skin. G-1000 Lite is not mosquito proof.
UV Protection: The dense fabric provides almost one hundred percent protection from the alpha and beta rays of the sun.
