Innovative, fully integrated aluminium headset for tapered 1.5 - 1 1/8 inch steerer. With top cover and high-quality cone made of aluminium. Upper bearing 1 1/8 inch - 36°/45° ACB (Cane Creek compatible). Lower bearing 1.5 inch - grooved ball bearing. The FSA No. 55R headset has the following mounting sizes - inner/outer 52/56 mm.
An ACR compatible frame is necessary.
Aero Cable Routing System
ACR System, a fully integrated Aerodynamic Cable Routing solution that routes all cables, wires and hoses internally, is
available for FSA and VISION’s top-of-the-line handlebars.
This innovative patent-pending system is unique to FSA and VISION, and is a combination of thier knowledge bases in
both headset and cockpit development and manufacturing, plus the FSA/Vision history in aerodynamic development and design. The
result is a clean, integrated and aerodynamic cable routing solution for frame and bicycle brands.
The CORE of the ACR system is built around the handlebar, headset and stem that easily allows brands a "plug-in" solution for clean and simple cable routing for their frames. By using standard headset dimensions, the system maintains frame strength and, by routing cables through the headset, it also safely preserves a round steering column.
Ahead-headset building classes:
Ahead-headsets are divided into the
"classical" building class, the semi integrated
"Press Fit" and the full integrated
"Drop In" headsets. The "classical" version has a bearing which is located outside the steerer tube. "Press Fit" and "Drop In" headset bearings are located inside the steerer tube which results in a lower stack height. In contrast to "Press Fit" headsets "Drop In" headsets don't have to be pressed in. The bearing rests directly on the angled (36° or 45°) surface of the steerer tube. The most common "Drop In" versions are called
"Drop In Campy" for Campagnolo Hiddensets and
"Cane Creek".
