Grid is Gravity's all alloy Trail/Enduro group. This lightweight group brings an optimized strength to weight ratio.
The solid FSA Gravity Grid Modular 1x Direct Mount MegaExo features a fully modular construction - i.e. it can be converted to 2x or from standard to boost chainline - hollow-forged aluminium arms with CroMo pedal inserts. A forged 24 mm MegaExo aluminium spindle provides high stiffness.
A primary part of this crank is the fully cnc machined 7075 aluminium Direct Mount chainring.
It is featuring the special FSA Megatooth profile (narrow-wide). It is especially suited for 1x10/11-speed drivetrains because provides a safe chain retention also when the chain is tilted or the weather turns bad.
A specialty is the modular chainline - Standard 50mm & Boost 53mm.
Megatooth:
The MegaTooth's teeth are longer than standard with an asymmetric profile shape, a diamond-shaped cross-section and a unique system of alternating thick then thin teeth. This allows for smooth chain engagement, meaning that the chain always remains in close contact with the chainring to give you the most reliable and positive drive possible.
