The Rapid Red family now presents a wheelset for those who want to discover new terrain and new trails - with a bit more speed.

To develop the responsive, lightweight and reliable Fulcrum Rapid Red Carbon for Gravel (for everything that Gravel means to you), the technological know-how of the top wheels has been used, so that the S-Shape carbon rim with asymmetric profile guarantees lightness and responsiveness. This technology improves the uniform tension of the spokes.

The optimized balance has a long-term effect and promises function at a high level. In addition, this unique shape of the rim profile increases stiffness by 2.5% compared to a conventional U-shaped profile. To enable maximum performance with tubeless tires, the Rapid Red Carbon has a tubeless-specific, undrilled rim bed: 2-Way Fit. This in turn has been finished with a C-Lux-Finish, a mirror-like surface that makes mounting the tire easier.

Technologies

The Mo-Mag technology, no drilling in the rim bed: this means a consistently even rim without critical points or fractures, and for clincher profiles no rim tape is necessary, which has a positive effect on the weight.

The 30 millimetre high rim profile has a Mini-Hook system that extends the possible tire pressure. Fulcrum's precise dimensional accuracy also increases safety against the tire rolling off the rim at low pressure, because the inner rim width of 25mm increases the contact area between the tire and the rim.
And as you've come to expect from #fulcrumfast, functional solutions have been found to combine high aesthetics and maximum performance. At first glance, the new Direct Inmold Matt Finish (DIMF) stands out.

2-Way Fit™ Wire and Tubeless Tire Profile.
Tubeless technology was first applied to the automotive sector, then to motorcycles and finally to cycle racing. After entering the MTB world, the moment has now come for its use on the road: Fulcrum has developed the 2-Way Fit™ technology to guarantee perfect compatibility of its tubeless rims also with normal clincher tires and tubes. 2-Way Fit™ wheels are particularly versatile and therefore perfectly adapted to any situation.
Thanks to a special marking in the valve area, the mounting of the tubes is done with high precision and the tube remains firmly stabilized in the clincher tire. The valve for tubeless tires can also be used safely. This offers the undeniable advantage that air can never get in during assembly due to inaccurate positioning.

The Axial Fixing System is the brake disc fixing method developed by Fulcrum. The Axial Fixing System™ is the solution developed by Fulcrum® to fix the disc brake to the hub. This system ensures an even better fixing than comparable fixing methods, making it possible to increase stiffness and thus brake more precisely and powerfully.
