The special feature of narrow-wide chainrings is the teeth's changing width; narrow and wide teeth alternate to prevent chain dropping. In addition, Garbaruk chainrings feature an increased tooth height which improves the chain retention while the bike is shivering and jolting. Compared to regular chainrings, the special tooth shape guarantees a tighter contact with chain and softer pedaling.

To reach an optimal drivetrain chainline value, chainrings by Garbaruk's feature Variable ChainLine Technology (VCLT) which means that each number of teeth has got its own individual chainline. Apart from this, chamfered edges and wide mud gaps keep the chainring from getting too dirty.
