Dynamic Balanced Lacing

Since its introduction in 2015, Dynamic Balanced Lacing (DBL) has been one of the cornerstones of GIANT wheels. DBL ensures that spokes are at optimal tension under dynamic loads, resulting in improved durability and drive efficiency. The enlarged DBL hub flange also increases spoke angles, increasing torsional and lateral stiffness for better power transfer and a more stable sprint.

A smooth transition from tire to hookless rim for optimal aerodynamics and an internal width of 25 mm, suitable for both 28-32C road and 40-50C gravel tires, make the CXR 1 wheelset as fast as it is versatile. Combined with the wider stiffening angle of Dynamic Balanced Lacing, which adds stiffness and power, and the 54-tooth DT 350 hub, which provides immediate traction on fast technical climbs, the CXR 1 redefines all-around performance.

Secure handling

Hookless rims create a rounder tire shape that provide improved grip and safer handling characteristics through better sidewall support.
