The Alaska Pro Wide GTX is made for demanding day hikes to week-long outdoor adventures with a heavy backpack. Thanks to GORE-TEX lining, the feet stay dry even in mud and rainy weather, the slightly higher scree protection edge on the Alaska Pro Wide GTX version protects the leather against impacts and cuts. A reliable fit is ensured by particularly stable and durable lacing parts made of die-cast metal. The polyurethane midsole is covered with a 0.2 mm thick TPU film. This makes the sole unit not only lightweight and particularly comfortable, but also uncomplicated to maintain and significantly more resistant to hydrolysis. The insoles are made of chrome-free tanned leather. The high-cut upper with single-sheet construction stabilizes and protects the ankle area. The Wide last, which is wider in the forefoot and ball of the foot, prevents lateral pressure points in the forefoot area for wider feet
