HIRZL GRIPPP™ Technology
GET CONTROL. GET GRIPPP.
The superior properties of the GRIPPP & TRUST series gloves are the result of HIRZL's innovative tanning technology, which HIRZL is using exclusively.
The revolutionary HIRZL GRIPPP™ technology is based on a secret and multistage tanning procedure, giving the kangaroo leather unparalleled values in grip during all weather conditions.
The kangaroo leather supports this tanning technology, compared to other leathers the kangaroo fiber strands are more dense and lay much flatter for superior strength. Furthermore the HIRZL GRIPPP™ technology ensures a long-lasting leather performance and a sweat-free palm during physical activity.
The result: Up to 3 x more grip in dry conditions and up to 5 x more in wet or severe weather conditions than comparable gloves.
Känguruleder
THE STRONGEST LEATHER IN THE WORLD.
Kangaroo leather is by weight the strongest leather in the world, compared to other leathers with similar thickness. Reason is the unique structure of kangaroo leather which consists of perfect organised main fibre bundles, which have a secondary supporting mesh, combined with low angle of weave, low fat content and a very thin grain layer.
Naturally thin kangaroo leather retains all it strength where other raw material types require heavy splitting and shaving which significantly reduces physical performance. The unique characteristics of kangaroo fibre structure are further enhanced through HIRZL's innovative tanning procedure.
The result is a versatile, strong and light natural material.
Sustainability - Energy- & resource-efficient production process
During the kangaroo leather tanning process we pay attention to high environmental standards. For the energy supply we make use of a large solar power system that delivers significant reductions in the consumption of natural gas and release of CO2 in the atmosphere.
We put particular emphasis on recycling & reuse, waste minimisation and a responsible water use policy.
By continuously improving the water treatment, at least 40% of the water used in the kangaroo leather production process can be recycled.
Sustainability - Kangaroo leather. Natural, sustainable & renewable
Kangaroos are not farmed. They are harvested in the wild from a large, self-replenishing population. As a result no natural habitat is cleared for them. The harvest is strictly controlled by an Australian Government program that ensures no detrimental impact on the kangaroos or their ecosystems.
Of the 53 species of kangaroo only the four most common species may be used for leather production. Studies have shown no adverse effect on the population of these four species over the last 40 years. Kangaroo leather is a renewable natural resource that is sustainable over the long term.
Only a small proportion of the total kangaroo population is taken for the food industry, the leather is a recycled by-product that would otherwise end up as waste. With a current population well over 30 million the kangaroo are living more kangaroos in Austalia than people. Kangaroos are contrary to popular opinion not endangered.
