The Hope Tech 4 V4 disc brake exceeds once again the performance of the popular predecessor. This achieves the 4-piston brake with improved ergonomics, higher braking force and minimized wear. The brake ratio has been fine-tuned based on real riding data to achieve the best efficiency and the typical precise braking feel. The linear relationship between lever force and brake pressure allows easy and intuitive control of braking performance.
The most powerful model of the brand was designed specifically for Downhill use where maximum as well as consistent braking performance and reliability are the most important factors.
The shape of the Downhill brake lever has been revised to obtain better ergonomics and provide optimized transmission of braking power. The volume of the reservoir for the brake fluid has been increased thanks to intelligent design work and the height at the same time reduced which makes the whole lever appear more delicate. The stable and practical hinge clamp reduces weight and ensures a secure hold. This contributes among other things to the more universal shift lever integration is possible which also provides better ergonomics in the cockpit.
The lever position and the pressure point of the brake can be easily, precisely and quickly adjusted to individual needs without tools.
The four-piston brake caliper offers up to 30% more braking force compared to the previous model. The high-quality pistons and its low-friction bearing ensure clean operation with low wear. An insulating layer of phenol provides heat protection for the components during hard use and thus guarantees maximum functional reliability.
Mounted the caliper post mount and the fluid supply is done by a braided, high quality steel hose. This has a total length of 1700mm and can be shortened to fit your own bike. This allows it to be used as a rear or front brake.
All Tech 4 brakes are supplied with high quality Racing brake pads. They are designed to provide impressive performance immediately after installation and require little break-in time. They are also more durable than traditional organic pads.
