Outsole
The CX302 utilizes the patented dual sole system from Lake. The insole consists of a semi-flexible carbon fiber platform that provides the foot with some flexibility at the ball of the foot, where the foot tends to swell and hot spots or numbness typically occur. The insole is suspended over the outer, rigid carbon sole. This system allows an extremely stiff carbon outsole to be used without sacrificing ride comfort.
