The Essential Short features a smooth, supportive wrap on the legs and just the right amount of saddle cushioning and support. Recently updated to be more flexible for better freedom of movement, the multi-layer Ergo Essential insert is made from with two different densities and progressive cushioning. The make or break for any non-bib short comes down to the waistband design. Mavic crafted this one to sit comfortably on the abdomen, snug but not restrictive. Made in Italy, the knit fabric is abrasion resistant, durable and lightly supportive of the leg muscles with 4-way stretch elasticity. The contoured shape and ergonomic flatlock seams helps to prevent chafing, and the legs are made from a single fabric with silicon grippers and raw-cut construction that holds them in place on the thighs.
