Entry level at Mavic doesn't mean low end. This wheel provides top Mavic technologies. Straight pull spokes, solid rim with 17 mm internal width, FTS-L freehub and easy serviceable cartridge bearings... At a very attractive price, the Aksium will make any bike better.

Features straight-pull spokes for added strength and stiffness, and lightweight rim for a lively ride quality. The rim is wider, which allows for increased air volume and a better fit for larger diameter tires (up to 32mm).
The hub is incredibly tough, delivering high mileage and long-lasting dependability. And the QRM bearings are the smoothest in the category. It all adds up to a wheel that delivers the high-quality ride that Mavic is known for.

Technologies:
FTS-L (Force Transfer System Light) - The reinforcement of the key transmission components brings a lighter and stronger hub to allow the energy to flow freely to the entire wheel.
QRM (Qualité de Roulements Mavic) - Mavic only uses high quality sealed cartridge bearings. On QRM wheels, they feature double sealing (2RS or LLU) together with tight C3 internal clearance.
UB Control (Usiné Brut Control) - The braking surfaces are precisely CNC machined. Improves braking friction and eliminates shuddering when braking.
H2 (Hammer Hardening) - Local strengthening of the rim in the area where the spokes exert the greatest stress. Improves rim's life expectancy and resistance to micro cracking.

Purpose:
Use only on a road bike. Any other use (such as on a tandem, cyclo-cross bike, or off-road use...) is strongly inadvisable, is the sole responsibility of the user and voids the Mavic warranty.

Maintenance/care:
Clean with a dry cloth or soap and water. Do not use pressurized water.
