When the ground is deeper or the weather is wetter, the choice falls on the Maxxis Forekaster. The medium-high lugs have an even spacing, with which they grip perfectly on trails with a loose layer over solid ground. The tread is designed more open compared to other Maxxis racer tires for better self-cleaning in wet conditions. Wide notched center lugs brake convincingly on slippery single trails. With the Forekaster you are perfectly equipped for the trails - in any weather.
EXO is a cut and abrasion resistant material on the sidewalls of Maxxis MTB tires. This tightly woven fabric is lightweight, highly flexible and ensures that the tire's performance is not compromised. EXO Protection gives you enhanced durability for gravel, XC and light trail riding.
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and rolling resistance decreases. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. Thus, the tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions already at the first inflation and with little liquid.
Wide Trail tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellent on all rims with an inner dimension of 30-39 mm.
