The Maxxis Dissector is a tire that rolls insanely fast, mills precisely through corners and decelerates accordingly well when needed. As a starting point, the profile of the Maxxis Rekon, Minion DHF and HighRoller II was combined and designed in close collaboration with Troy during the 2018 World Cup season.
Dual Compound
Two different rubber compounds are combined into one tread strip. Maxxis plans the arrangement of the compounds according to the desired characteristics of the tires.
EXO protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of the tire. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.
Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting on all rims with standard dimensions is already successful with the first inflation and with little liquid.
Wide Trail
These tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellent on all rims with an inner dimension of 30-39 mm.
