The Maxxis Rekon is a very voluminous tire that you can use on your daily tour, shred eagerly in the woods and on the All Mountain, but can also make a detour into the rough terrain. The TR version with EXO sidewall protection is designed for riding without a tube with sealing milk, but can also be ridden with a tube like all TR tyres. We recommend the Rekon primarily on the rear wheel, which can best be combined with a Forekaster at the front, but also with coarser treads.
3C MaxxTerra
An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tires. 3C Maxx Terra is softer and offers more traction than 3C Maxx Speed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than Maxx Grip.
The TR (Tubeless Ready) square bead profile enables an easy assembling of the setup. For that an insulating rubber layer was applied on full length to the bead profile.
EXO Protection is an extremely cut and abrasion resistant material that protects the sidewall. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. This keeps the performance of the tire unchanged good.
Maxxis WT - Wide Trail
Wide Trail (WT) - the casing is optimized for 35mm inner width rims.
