Technology of the Nutcase Street MIPS Helmet
MIPS - stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System and is designed to provide protection even when the human brain is subjected to strong rotational movements in a multi-directional impact. Helmets without MIPS technology also offer protection but only in linear impact scenarios, i.e. when the head does not hit an object/ground at an angle but straight on - which very rarely happens in practice. MIPS thus ensures that the rotational forces are absorbed in the event of an oblique impact, thus reducing the risk of injury to the brain.
FIDLOCK - Unique magnet-mechanical technology that makes opening and closing the helmet child's play. Magnets bring the individual components together, causing them to snap shut automatically with an audible click. A mechanical latch ensures a secure hold. In addition, this closure can be opened very quickly with one hand, for example by simply turning, tilting or pushing.
