Odyssey Springfield Brake - polished

When Odyssey was faced with the development of a new brake, the premise was above all to develop a brake that is much easier to install, but does not lose any of its performance. In addition, these components should also be inexpensive. This is exactly what was achieved with the Springfield. The Springfield brake does away with the usual 2 brake springs and replaces them with a central spring that applies the same force to each arm and requires no additional adjustment. This makes installation much easier - just bolt it on and go. The brake arms are designed to maximize stiffness while saving weight. By die-casting the arms, the Springfield meets all design goals, making it a strong yet affordable brake. The strength ultimately comes from the fact that it is made of aluminum.
