The Opinel No. 8 Outdoor offers versatility. The 2.5 mm thick blade is made of modified stainless Sandvik 12C27 steel. The 3.5 cm wide serrated edge allows easy cutting of natural and synthetic ropes. The sailors will appreciate the built-in shackle key for 4 to 10 mm shackles.
The Virobloc system locks the blade securely in the open and closed states. The handle in typical Opinel design is made from a polyamide/fiberglass material which is safe in your hand even with wet fingers. Its water-resistant and whitstands extreme temperatures. An integrated pealess whistle in the handle and a plastic cord complete the extensive facilities.
