RELIABILITY

The Laufey was designed for plenty of action. Without sacrificing frame weight savings, the designers aimed for added durability in a bike that takes a lot of punishment. Compressed hydroforming tubes result in the durability you need.

HYDROFORMING

Means manupulating the shapes and thicknesses of the aluminum tubes to achieve greater strength and resistance while avoiding unwanted deformation. Many of the tubes are upset in the middle, away from the stresses of welds and joints, to achieve weight reduction. Aluminum technology is as advanced as carbon manufacturing, which is why Orbea aluminum bikes are always among the best performing.

WELDED CHAINSTAY YOKE

To achieve maximum tire stand and strength, a proprietary welded chainstay yoke with CNC finishing has been developed to ensure the most precise specifications. This is not a new technology, but a more costly one.
