Aerodynamics - Free Speed

This bike is the result of all the aerodynamic knowledge of the Orbea development department. Say: thousands of hours spent developing models, in the wind tunnel and in field tests to scrutinize every single part of the bike in search of the "Sweet Spot" of the Orca Aero. Aligning the frame with the airflow, optimizing the connectors, more harmoniously flowing transitions and countless other improvements result in significantly less drag. This effortless cutting through the air is what makes a premium aero road bike feel so special.

Countless improvements that add up to a drag reduction of 15 W at 40 km/h or 28 W at 50 km/h.

Stiffness - The secret of power transmission

Most of the twisting forces and lateral loads are absorbed by the lower part of the frame. The shape of the head tube, down tube and chainstays prevents twisting and serves to transmit power directly to the rear wheel. A, at the crucial points, stiff frame prevents twisting and ensures an immediate power transmission from the pedal to the rear wheel. So your power is transformed directly into speed.

Balanced handling

One of the most important points with regard to the geometry of a road bike is the handling. Toolbox behind the front wheel

The old question of the perfect place for mini-tool, spare tube, ID card and Co. is solved. Answer: the toolbox integrated into the frame behind the front wheel. The air flows smoothly over the down tube, bottle cage and water bottle. Nothing distorts the great look of the frame. Then you'll find mounts for conventional bottle cages on the down tube and seat tube.

Tire clearance

With room for 30mm wide tires, the Orca Aero proves that speed and comfort are not mutually exclusive. The advantages of wider tires have long since reached the road bike. Thanks to lower air pressure, a wider tire can not only reduce rolling resistance, but also mean big improvements in comfort and traction.
