In search of the formula for the most powerful shoe in the world, PEARL iZUMi has dedicated itself to the motto "less is more" and designed a model that convinces with reduced material usage on the upper shoe and a sole made of carbon fibre.

In the course of 24-month revision of its sole, PEARL iZUMi concentrated on using as little material as possible so that 22% weight could be saved compared to the previous version. Thanks to a sock-like construction of the upper shoe, which is made entirely of knitted material, individual areas could be equipped with regard to flexibility and support. In addition, this construction method offers the advantage that no cutting is necessary and therefore no waste is produced, as the upper shoe can be used as it is. And because almost all seams are adhesive seams, the shoe offers a sleek design, low weight and improved comfort. Last but not least, the upper features water-repellent PI Dry® technology, which protects against splashing water, keeping the surface clean.
