The Pirelli Scorpion E-MTB M folding tire offers excellent grip on mixed surfaces with maximum puncture resistance at the same time. The lug height and their spacing have been perfectly matched to the specially developed SmartGRIP+ rubber compound. This provides uncompromising performance even in changing conditions on compact and loose surfaces. The additional "bridges" between the lugs support them and improve self-cleaning in wet conditions.

The tread is also designed for high speeds, long mileage and minimal rolling resistance. Among other things, this serves to save as much energy as possible and improve battery range.

To further increase the rolling characteristics and puncture resistance, the tire offers the possibility of tubeless operation.

SmartGRIP+

This is a rubber compound from Pirelli developed specifically for E-Bikes. The innovative feature is the use of lignin. This chemical substance has a natural origin that comes from the waste paper recovery process. It is an additive with low environmental impact that improves the performance of the tire given the particular speed and torque characteristics of electric motors of modern E-Bikes.

The result is a version of SmartGRIP that offers superior performance and grip on both wet and dry surfaces.

HyperWALL

A newly designed as well as patented construction that further increases handling and reduces the risk of punctures. The tire tread must rely on bead and sidewall stability to best adapt to the terrain. To achieve this, Pirelli reinforces the bead and increases the resistance to deformation of the sidewalls by means of a textile loop. This guarantees an optimal interaction of the tire components for best performance and safety.

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
