Alba M30 crankset
Deep in the hills of Santa Cruz, cyclists are brought to their knees by a nasty, four mile, 1800 ft. climb named Alba Road. This respected ascent was the inspiration for our Alba road crank. With its shapely forged alloy arms connected to the M30 BB and spindle system, the Alba is ready for anything you pedal up against. In addition the cold forged chainrings feature the LevaTime® shifting technology for a quicker, smoother changing of gears.
Cold Forging Chainrings
All of praxis works chainrings are created with their proprietary forging process which allows them to manipulate the ring shape and tooth profile more than ever before. With "One-Shot" forging the company is able to increase the amount of shifting features on a chainring which normal CNC manufacturing won't allow.
The process also creates a harder and tougher tooth surface for durability with over 1000 tons. Individual tooth profiles, alternating tooth angles, timed ramps and tactically placed shift elevators are all jam packed onto a Praxis ring. Translation: All of these small aggregate features add up to one of the most durable and consistent shifting rings ever produced for cyclists.
LevaTime®
Leva Time® shifting is the product of years of relentless testing and tweaking. The final result is a set of some of the finest and fastest shifting rings available. With a LevaTime® ring, several shift elevators are placed strategically at points on the ring to provide a perfectly timed lift.
Synchronized ramps are tuned with a specific inner ring, providing a clean channel for the chain to move upwards. Each individual tooth is sculptured to handle a specific duty. Along with that, precisely located scallops help control chain movement and prevent chain suck.
Alba M30 Compatibility:
The Alba can be installed in BSA, BB86, BB30, PF30 or Specialized OSBB road frames with help of the corresponding praxis works bottom brackets. It is compatible with Shimano 10-/11-speed (also Di2), SRAM 10-speed and SRAM 22 11-speed as well as Campagnolo 10-/11-speed (also EPS) drivetrains. The manufacturer recommends the use of a Shimano, KMC or Campagnolo chain.
Note: The axle tapers from 30 mm to 28 mm. For that you need praxis works M30 bottom brackets.
