Evolution of the original Z-Max VFA tread. Ritchey's signature MTB VFA (Vector Force Analysis) tread pattern places each knob and edge at an angle corresponding with cornering and braking forces for optimal traction at all angles.

Its tread lugs are spaced wider and shortened for faster handling, reduced rolling resistance and lighter weight. The WCS version features Dual Compound - softer sides enhance cornering, firmer center section rolls faster and is more durable. Additionally it has a tubeless ready 120 tpi casing.

Furthermore the casing is StrongHold reinforced to reduce sidewall flex under hard cornering and damage.

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
