Chromoly. This material is often used, especially when it really matters: In automobile and aircraft engineering, and for numerous tubus carriers. The chromoly offers an enormous tensile strength: more than 700 N/mm², and in addition, excellent welding properties, that Tubus turns into excellent carrier properties.
Attention: Not suitable for mounting on spring or carbon forks without eyelets. The fork must be approved by the manufacturer, or by the bicycle manufacturer for mounting a carrier. There must be no crimping.
