The RACE DEEPWINTER bib shorts are the result of a long development process: UYN wanted everything to be perfect so that cyclists can survive the coldest days. The development of new technologies takes time, especially when the goal is ambitious: maximum thermal capacity, protection from external elements, unparalleled comfort over long distances. They began by analyzing the position of the cyclist on the bike. In the most exposed areas (shins, buttocks and quadriceps) they use a fabric bonded to our waterproof and highly elastic MEMBRAIN115 membrane, and on the inside the exclusive UYN Bodymapped BUFFERCONE structure that traps body heat and forms an insulating layer. In the abdominal, lumbar and back areas, waterproofing is achieved through a wash-resistant nanotechnology treatment. Strategic inserts on the calf, made of double-layer knit, optimize the fit and provide great freedom of movement. The back is protected by a layer of highly insulating Buffercone fabric to keep the body warm even after many hours in the saddle.
