PVC free: the VAUDE "PVC-free" seal means that this product is made completely without PVC (polyvinyl chloride). Looks like truck tarpaulin, is just as durable and waterproof, but is made of PU (polyurethane) coated textile fabric instead of PVC. PVC often contains plasticizers (phthalates) that are suspected of being harmful to health.
