The Metron 30 SL Disc is Vision's climbing focused wheelset. The carbon tubular rims are 25mm wide. Furthermore they are equipped with straight pull bladed spokes, P.R.A. Centerlock disc hubs with 6 sealed cartridge bearings, ABS brass nipples.
To cope with the forces generated by disc brakes, the Metron 30 SL Disc uses 21 spokes at the front and 24 at the rear. They are 2:1 laced.

The wheelset uses a low drag construction. All components are specifically designed to reduce drag. This allows riders to achieve maximum speed with minimum pedaling effort. Reduced distance between the hub flanges, aero spokes and special rim profiles are the key points.
One of the reasons why wheels come out of true is due spoke nipples getting loose. This wheelset has special self-locking nipples to prevent spokes from loosening, assuring wheel trueness and the highest reliability.
The Preload Reduction Assembly called system applies a preload to the hub bearings via threaded clamps. It provides a bearing adjustment without dismounting. Furthermore the revised hubs are featuring more durable ACB steel-bearings (2 front, 4 rear), a larger drive-side flange and an increased flange width.
