The Liner Classic is a flat knit medium high sock with elastane for comfortable fit from Woolpower's LITE collection. The sock is made mostly of merino wool. Merino wool has basically the same properties as regular wool, but has the advantage of not scratching. The seams of the socks are flat, so this does not bother you when walking.
Merino wool comes from merino sheep and is generally known for its high quality. Merino sheep have much more hair than other sheep. About ten times as many hairs grow per square meter as the average sheep. This makes the wool thinner and longer, very soft to the touch and not scratchy. Merino sheep live in areas with large temperature fluctuations from -20 ºC to over 35 ºC . Their fur is thermoregulating. As a result, merino wool keeps you warm in the cold, but breathes well. In addition, merino wool has an excellent moisture-regulating and self-cleaning effect, so you do not quickly suffer from sweat stains and odors on your clothes.
