STRIDE - Double sock for sport and leisure
The STRIDE quarter is an ankle high medium thick sock, which is chosen by customers who prefer "a little more" socks. The "quarter" version extends to just above the ankles.
Features of the sock
- Double layer
- Anti-blister system
- Ankle high, medium thick, unpadded
- Middle foot stabilizer
- Shoe recommendation: walking shoes, barefoot shoes, light hiking and trekking shoes, trail shoes
Additional informations about the sock
Compared to the thinnest model COOLMESH II, the STRIDE is knitted noticeably firmer. Whether you choose the thin COOLMESH II or the slightly thicker STRIDE depends on how tight the shoe fits. If the shoe fits tightly against the foot, WRIGHTSOCK recommends the COOLMESH II model. If there is more space in the shoe, WRIGHTSOCK considers the STRIDE model to be the more suitable variant. WRIGHTSOCK fans who practice sports with frequent sideways movements (e.g. football, handball, volleyball, table tennis) often prefer the STRIDE sock model.
- A knitted stabilization zone in the midfoot area provides a secure hold
- The back of the foot is knitted in a net structure in order to optimally dissipate moisture
- The inner layer is white, undyed and therefore foot healthy
- The Dri-Wright and high-tech fibers in the inner and outer layers ensure dry feet and protection against blistering
Anti-blister system
WRIGHTSOCK is constructed in two layers and friction does not penetrate the skin because it is neutralised between the inner and outer sock layers, while the special fibre of the inner layer ensures dry feet.
Dri-Wright
Dri-Wright is a polyester fibre developed by Wrightenberry Mills. Polyester has the advantage of drying faster and being more durable than almost any other fibre. By "channels" on the fiber surface Dri-Wright can dissipate foot moisture clearly better than conventional polyester fibers.
Note for customers whose street shoe size is at the WRIGHTSOCK "size limit"
In principle, WRIGHTSOCK recommends that customers whose shoe size is at the upper edge of the size scale change to the next higher size. After washing, the socks become about one street shoe size smaller and then fit ideally in these limiting cases. A person with a shoe size of 41-42 would therefore choose a sock with a size of L. The size of the sock would be the same for a person with a shoe size of 41-42. The double-layer WRIGHTSOCK sock should fit tightly in order to fully develop its effect. Socks that are too large can cause the foot to "slip".
