The IQ-XS friendly is the first headlamp in a new product range with a 100% residue-free compostable plastic housing. This development makes it possible to produce plastic parts in a more environmentally friendly way, but with the usual high quality. "Friendly" is also a philosophy that affects all divisions of Busch + Müller. Processes were and are continuously analysed and adapted. Always with the aim of protecting the environment and operating more sustainably. One example is the use of heat in the plastics injection moulding shop: the waste heat from the injection moulding machines is used to operate the underfloor heating in the production halls and warehouses. Furthermore, the packaging is being converted from plastic blisters to ecologically sustainable cardboard packaging from 100% FSC-certified forestry. This guarantees that all trees felled to produce the paper are completely reforested.
