Light, stiff and durable. The Lucky Jack SLS4 rim is the flagship of the XC carbon rim series from DUKE Racing Wheels. The special feature: the 6TERS concept with its different profiles for front and rear wheel ensures more efficiency on the Trails. The combination of a front wheel rim with 30 or 28 mm inner width with a rear wheel rim with 28 or 26 mm is ideal. Accordingly, these rims are also used in the XCO World Cup by the BMC Racing Team, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, Matthieu Van der Poel and many other riders.

While the Heavy Duty (HD) construction guarantees the necessary resistance, the SLS4 carbon manufacturing process helps to noticeably reduce the weight. In addition, the lateral stiffness of DUKE's lightest 29-inch rim to date is increased by the Hookless design and the asymmetrical profile with 2.4 and 2.8 mm offsets. Compared to a standard carbon rim with hooks, the hookless construction also offers greater robustness and impact resistance.

SLS4 (Super Light Series 4) | The SLS models are 10 % lighter than traditional rims while maintaining exactly the same strength and stiffness. For achieving this, the manufacturing process as well as the types of carbon fiber and resin are different. In addition, SLS4 rims are manufactured in a sealed atmosphere and require no retouching at the exit of the mold. Without sanding or varnishing, an exceptional finish is achieved.

6TERS ("sisters") | To meet the different requirements of the front and rear of a mountain bike, the 6TERS concept uses a differentiated design for the front and rear wheels. While the rim intended for the front wheel should be correspondingly wider, a reduced cross-section is used for the rear wheel. While grip, low weight, stiffness and manoeuvrability are the most important factors at the front, comfort, resistance and high-performance power transmission are the decisive parameters at the rear.

Heavy Duty (HD) Building Concept | To achieve a high level of resistance, the Heavy Duty design combines a targeted choice of materials with an optimal rim geometry. Thanks to the interaction of high-strength carbon or aluminum with the offset construction, DUKE HD rims absorb most shocks and impacts, making them perfect for any type of terrain.

DUKE Original Profile | In 2 words, Duke Technology. DUKE is proprietor of the manufacturing tools and processes for its alloy rims and of the moulds for its carbon models. This enables them to offer you some of the most technically-advanced rims with a wider profile, offset and the result of many years of experience.

Asymmetric Profile (Offset) | By offsetting, the wheel’s lateral strength and its stability can be increased without adding weight. Rim drillings are off-center to optimize bracing angles for a stronger, more rigid wheel. In addition, an offset improves the balance between of the spoke tension between the drive and non-drive side as well as durability over the long-term.

Antiburp System | The "Burp-Free" system holds the tyre bead securely in position regardless of tyre pressure and ground conditions. This prevents the tyre from coming off the rim even at maximum speed. As the tyre is prevented from being pushed sideways towards the centre of the rim, there is no risk of sudden air loss even when cornering.

* Hookless rims are specifically designed for use with Tubeless tires. It is also possible to ride a Tubeless-specific tire with a tube. However, the use of classic clincher or folding tires is not recommended.
