The Rover is made for long, comfortable runs and fast hikes, for a wide variety of weather conditions and terrains. Whether it's a long run in the middle of winter or a short jog in muddy fall weather, this versatile shoe provides consistently comfortable footing and reliable traction. The combination of durable, yet soft Bluesign® polyester and a waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane keeps water out and the foot dry. Firm support is provided by the BOA® Fit System lacing system, which can be easily adjusted to the individual foot shape in no time. For stability and protection against slight overpronation, the Rover is equipped with high torsional stiffness, a fully cushioned midsole and an ESS system. Featuring a BUGrip® outsole with Icebug's patented dynamic spikes, running in the Rover GTX is a comfortable and sporty affair in any season.

BUGrip®

That's the name of ICEBUG's traction technology for extra slippery conditions. The sole features a special rubber compound complete with 19 steel spikes, which react dynamically to different surface hardness and body weight. When the sole comes into contact with a hard surface, the studs move into the interior of the rubber - on dry asphalt they largely sink in, offering an almost unchanged running feel and only a soft clack indicates that the anti-slip is in play.
When the outsole hits a slushy or icy surface, the lugs exert dynamic pressure on the ground. This causes the cleats to adhere to the surface and
and provide the foot with a secure and non-slip grip. As a result, BUGrip® soles work on a wide variety of surfaces - from wet asphalt to pure ice. There is little to no wear and tear: The tip of the spikes is made of tungsten carbide, a material 25 times harder than steel and nearly as tough as diamond.

GORE-TEX

Products with this symbol are 100% waterproof and feature GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort Footwear technology, which is promised to "GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY." Water stays on the outside, while moisture can easily escape from the inside.
