The Pytho BUGrip® has been a popular winter running shoe from ICEBUG for years. The ideal combination of a medium drop, torsional rigidity, a roomy and protective toe box, and a lightweight yet durable upper make the Pytho BUGrip® an optimal winter running shoe for a wide range of runners. The upper wicks moisture to the outside of the shoe, keeping it comfortable. The Pytho BUGrip® combines first-class running characteristics with excellent ground control.

Technology - BUGrip®

BUGrip® - This is the name of the ICEBUG traction technology for extra slippery conditions. The sole is equipped with a special rubber compound including 16 steel spikes, which react dynamically to different surface hardness and body weight. When the sole comes into contact with a hard surface, the studs move into the interior of the rubber - on dry asphalt they largely sink in, offering an almost unchanged running feel and only a soft clack indicates that the anti-slip is in play.
When the outsole hits a slushy or icy surface, the lugs exert dynamic pressure on the ground. This causes the cleats to adhere to the surface and
and provide the foot with a secure and non-slip grip. As a result, BUGrip® soles work on a wide variety of surfaces - from wet asphalt to pure ice. There is little to no wear and tear: The tip of the spikes is made of tungsten carbide, a material 25 times harder than steel and nearly as robust as diamond.
