The Maxxis Dissector is insanely fast, mills precisely through every corner and decelerates perfectly on any surface. As a starting point for this, the profile of the Maxxis Rekon, Minion DHF and HighRoller II was combined and designed during the 2018 World Cup season in close cooperation with downhill racer Troy Brosnan. Due to its special rubber compound and the optimized carcass, the tubeless folding tire is ideal for enduro use.
Features of the Maxxis Dissector Folding Tire - EXO | Dual | Wide Trail | TR
- Dual Compound | Two different rubber compounds are processed in a tread strip. Maxxis develops the ratio of the compounds depending on the desired characteristics of the tire.
- EXO Protection | This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of countless Maxxis tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and extremely flexible, which guarantees consistent and superior performance and good puncture protection.
- Tubeless Ready | Tubeless operation allows riding with lower tire pressure, resulting in less rolling resistance and high puncture protection. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other tubeless tires on the market. The bead of the is like a real UST tubeless tire completely covered with a rubber layer. Thus, the assembly is successful with all rims with standard dimensions already at the first inflation and with little liquid.
- Wide Trail| Maxxis Wide Trail construction optimizes the profile layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. The tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellent on all rims with an inner dimension of 30-39 mm.
Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
