Technologies of the Maxxis Minion DHF Wire Bead Tire - Dual | DH TR | WT
- Dual Compound - Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. The properties of each compound and their arrangement Maxxis plans according to the desired characteristics of the tires. Depending on the tire category, different DualCompound are used, for example, the dual compounds of gravel and downhill tires differ significantly.
- DownHill Casing - The MAXXIS Downhill tires are used in exactly the same construction by the most successful DH riders. Double 60TPI carcass layers and butyl inserts in the sidewall above the tire bead are the basis of the tires that have won most downhill races in recent years.
- Tubeless Ready - Tubeless tires on bikes have many advantages. You can ride with less air pressure and thus has better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with tube, and with a sealant instead of a tube, the risk of punctures is greatly reduced because small holes are simply sealed.
- Wide Trail - The Maxxis Wide Trail construction optimizes the profile layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. The tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellent on all rims with an inner dimension of 30-39 mm.
Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
