This baselayer owes its high wearing comfort mainly to the hybrid Alpine Merino Responsive fabric that consists of merino wool and polyamide. The synthetic fibers are also enhanced with the patented Responsive technology. Responsive is based on a special blend of natural, thermoreactive minerals that recycle the body's far-infrared energy (FIR) and gradually release it. As a result, they provide better performance as well as faster recovery and keep you warmer longer. These benefits are maintained throughout the life of the fabric because Responsive is an integral part of the fiber and does not wash out.

The Cristallo has a body-hugging fit with a crew neck and a sleeve design with an integrated gusset for greater freedom of movement. It is made using a special knitting process that spns a superfine, 19-micron merino wool yarn around a nylon core. This process makes the bluesign® certified fiber not only stronger, fluffier and bulkier, but also lighter than a comparable baselayer fiber. The high polyamide content further improves durability and mechanical stretch properties. The innovative knitting process allows the production of a one-piece torso section without any disturbing seams for maximum wearing comfort. In addition, the merino fibers have a natural, odor-inhibiting effect.
