The Road Cruiser is one of the best-selling standard tires from Schwalbe with the innovative and environmentally friendly Green Compound rubber compound. The directional tread convinces with high grip, smooth running and low rolling resistance. The casing with K-Guard technology provides puncture protection here.

Green Compound

A bicycle tire consists of many different materials. The tread, however, is made entirely of rubber and accounts for around 70 to 80 percent of the tire's total rubber content. Therefore, it is precisely here that the use of sustainably produced rubber makes the most sense. The tread rubber is made from natural rubber from renewable rubber trees and from recycled rubber materials such as rubber gloves and door seals. This saves not only raw materials but also energy during production. Added to this is the absence of carbon black in the Green Compound. All in all, this is a not inconsiderable step toward sustainability.

K-Guard

This proven technology relies on a cushioning and protective natural rubber insert along the tread. Under this, a woven Kevlar layer, from bead to bead, ensures puncture resistance and prevents damage to the tire sidewall.
