The TwinLoc suspension system allows the rider to effectively control the frame, fork and shock as a complete system. The added control makes for extra riding fun, especially on downhills. TwinLoc allows for nuanced fine-tuning of the suspension. Furthermore, not only the compression damping can be changed, but moreover the spring characteristics to dynamically change the geometry of the bike.
Frame protection played an important role in the development of the Ransom. An integrated protector under the bottom bracket protects this sensitive area. A specially designed chainstay and seatstay protector is implemented and ensures a smooth ride.
Furthermore, the 29" wheels improve the rolling behavior. The large wheels facilitate riding on difficult surfaces such as roots or stones. Another important aspect is the higher traction compared to 26" wheels due to the larger tire contact area.
If necessary, this model can be converted from 29" to 27.5" wheels. You do not need to change the fork, all you need to do is make a small adjustment to the shock, change their wheels and off you go. The damper adjustment ensures a similar bottom bracket height when changing wheels, so the handling remains almost identical for both wheel sizes.
