HMX carbon

With the HMX carbon fibers SCOTT has decisively developed the already high quality carbon fiber HMF, which is used in the bike industry. HMX is the fiber used by SCOTT and has over 20% more stiffness than an HMF fiber of the same weight class. This unique material allows SCOTT engineers to develop super lightweight wheels with excellent riding characteristics.

Genius Trail Geometry

The geometry provides the perfect balance. Compared to previous developments, the bike is flatter, has a longer reach, shorter chainstays and a steeper seat angle. The geometry has a balancing effect on the relatively long front and improves smoothness.

Boost

The Boost standard improves the stiffness of the wheels and provides greater tire clearance. The increased clearance in the chainstay area allows for a significantly larger chainstay cross-section. This improves the stiffness of the frame and keeps the chainstays short.

Virtual 4-Link

The Virtual 4-Link design combines balance and control. Cadence and braking are improved, ensuring that the suspension system can operate at maximum efficiency. The kinematic suspension curve smooths out small bumps for excellent traction, plus perfect mid-travel support and controlled deep travel for predictable compression and increased comfort.

TwinLoc

The TwinLoc suspension system allows the rider to effectively control the frame, fork and shock as a complete system. The added control makes for extra fun riding, especially on downhills. TwinLoc allows for nuanced fine-tuning of the suspension. Furthermore, not only can the compression damping be changed, but furthermore the spring characteristics can be changed to dynamically alter the geometry of the bike.

One frame, two sizes

If necessary, this model can be converted from 29" to 27.5" wheels. You don't need to change the fork, all you need to do is make a small adjustment to the shock, change their wheels and off you go. The damper adjustment ensures a similar bottom bracket height when changing wheels, so the handling remains almost identical for both wheel sizes.
